Terms of Service
Last updated 25 July 2026
Kinetix is a workspace for planning projects, tracking tasks and writing documents with a team. These terms explain the rules for using it, and what you can expect from us in return. By creating an account you agree to them.
1.Your account
You need an account to use Kinetix. You provide a name, an email address and a password, and you are responsible for keeping that password secret. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live, and the details you give us must be accurate. One person, one account — do not share credentials with someone else.
2.Workspaces, projects and membership
Work in Kinetix lives inside a workspace. Whoever creates a workspace owns it and can invite others with an invite code, set member roles, and remove members. Members with the admin role can change workspace settings, manage projects and teams, and remove content created by others in that workspace.
If you join someone else's workspace, understand that the workspace owner and its admins can see and manage the content you create there, and can remove your access at any time. Projects may also be shared with other workspaces, which extends visibility to members of those workspaces.
3.Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Kinetix — tasks, comments, documents, files you attach, and the images you upload. We do not claim any ownership of it.
You give us permission to store, copy and display that content only so far as it is needed to run the service for you and the people you share a workspace with: saving it to the database, showing it back to you, serving your uploaded files, and keeping backups.
You are responsible for what you upload. Only upload content you have the right to use, and do not upload anything unlawful, malicious, or that infringes someone else's rights.
4.Acceptable use
While using Kinetix you agree not to:
- Break the law, or use the service to help someone else break it.
- Upload malware, or files designed to attack other users or the service.
- Try to access workspaces, documents or accounts that are not yours.
- Probe, scan or disrupt the service, or work around its limits and access controls.
- Scrape or bulk-extract other people's content.
- Resell or rent access to the service without our written agreement.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may remove content that clearly does.
5.File uploads
You can attach files to tasks and embed images in documents. Uploads are subject to a size limit and a list of accepted file types, both of which we may change to keep the service healthy. Files you upload are stored in our database and are available to the people who can already see the task or document they belong to.
Deleting a task or document deletes the files attached to it. That cannot be undone.
6.Deleting content and closing your account
Documents you delete go to the trash, where you can restore them until you delete them permanently. Deleting a workspace, project or task removes the work inside it, including comments and attachments.
You may stop using Kinetix at any time. Contact us at support@kinetix.app to have your account and personal data deleted. Content you created in a workspace you do not own may remain visible to that workspace after you leave, because it forms part of that team's record of work.
7.Service availability and changes
We are still building Kinetix. Features may change, and parts of the service may be unavailable while we deploy updates or when something we depend on fails. We do not promise a particular level of uptime.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take reasonable care with your data, but you should not treat Kinetix as your only copy of important work.
8.No warranties
Kinetix is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your particular requirements.
9.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from your use of Kinetix. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is significant we will make a reasonable effort to tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kinetix after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
